GrowSmart Developmental Screening
A fast, credible way for schools to spot which children may need extra support โ before small struggles become bigger ones.
What is GrowSmart?
GrowSmart is Cadabam's CDC's developmental screening programme. It sits on top of the curriculum a school already runs โ it is not a curriculum and not a replacement for one. It adds an early-screening layer that helps a school understand each child's development across key areas, so the right support can begin early.
How it works
GrowSmart is designed to be low-lift for schools:
- Create a custom room for your school.
- Send the screening to parents โ it takes about 30 minutes to complete.
- Our professionals review every response and produce a screening report.
- Programmes are designed based on the results for children who need support.
A school can screen all of its students within about a week โ or focus only on individual children the teachers have flagged.
What GrowSmart screens
The screening looks across developmental domains, including:
- Language & communication
- Social skills
- Behaviour
- Sensory processing
- Adaptive / self-help skills
- Cognitive / school-readiness
- Motor skills
Why schools choose GrowSmart
- Clinician-reviewed โ every report is reviewed and approved by a qualified professional before it reaches a parent
- A screening aid, not a diagnosis โ it flags where a child may need early support without labelling them
- A credible early-intervention story โ schools can tell parents "we screen, we understand, we support"
- A clear referral path โ for children who need specialist help, the school has a trusted partner
The goal is early understanding
The goal is not labelling children. It's giving teachers and parents a clearer picture, early โ so children who need it get support before they fall behind or become disengaged.
